  • N. Am. Association for Celtic Language Teachers -This Celtic language teachers association was formed to exchange ideas and research, increase links with other language teachers and to increase the opportunities for Celtic language teachers in North America.

  • Affiliates of the AMTFL -A list of 14 affiliates of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. This is an unusual site because its sole purpose is to list affiliates (and their links) of the national organization.

  • Nat'l Council of St.Supervisors of Foreign Lang. -The National Council of State Supervisors of Foreign Language web site contains links to state departments of education, state foreign language standards, and state associations of foreign language teachers.

  • Am. Assoc. of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese -This national organization promotes outstanding teacher and student efforts. A bulletin, insurance programs, awards, scholarships and other information is available for the Spanish and Portuguese teacher.

  • CouncilNet -A unique organization that is the web site for the National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages. Featured are languages such as: Arabic, Korean, Chinese, Czech, Hebrew and others.

  • Phi Delta Kappa International -Phi Delta Kappa is a professional organization for teachers of all fields. Their emphasis is publicly supported education and a democratic way of life. Chapter services and educational research are highlights.

  • NorTANA-Norwegian Teachers Assoc. of N.Am. -NorTANA represents Norwegian teachers of North America, helping them communicate and cooperate using newletters, books, roms, and a listing of available programs.

  • Am.Assn.of Teachers of Slavic & E.Eur.Languages -This site provides publications, conferences, and projects of interest to teachers of Russian and other Slavic and Eastern European languages, literatures and cultures.

  • American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). -Includes materials, resources, information about summer seminars, teaching tips and activities, and links to other sites.

  • Alliance Francaise in the United States -Alliance Francaise is affiliated with a century-old worldwide network of associations dedicated to promoting the French language and culture. A newsletter, map of affiliates, cultural programs and more is offered.

  • National Council of Japanese Language Teaching -This site rpomotes Japanese language teaching at the elementary and secondary levels. Standards, professional development opportunities, contests, awards, and other topics are included.
